Damaged Shipments
All orders are carefully packed for the safest delivery; however, if you should experience any damage due to shipping,
please contact your local UPS agent for inspection or call our customer service department for further instructions.
A Special Note on Packaging Perishables
Very perishable items, such as smoked hams, turkey and seafood will be shipped frozen, in sturdy and
reusable styrofoam coolers to keep items cold. Multiple items shipping to one address may be packed in a single shipping
container.
We make every effort to accurately estimate when items will be shipped from our stock and our vendors' stock.
Our estimated shipping dates are based on several factors, including the shipping address, whether the items are
stocked locally or in a satellite location, and the demand being experienced by our shipping department. Around
major holidays, you can expect a slightly longer processing time.
Our estimated shipping dates are always a range of dates. It is entirely possible for an item that has not shipped
by the beginning of the date range to still arrive within our stated delivery estimate.
We calculate delivery estimates by taking our estimated shipping dates and adding the time it takes a package to
travel from our facilities to your destination address.
Sometimes we will update our delivery estimates based on the most recent information we have. When this happens, we
show you both the original and updated delivery estimates in Your Account.
One-Day or Two-Day Shipping: Because not all of the items listed on our site are available immediately, selecting one of these options does not necessarily mean your order will arrive in one or two days. Please be aware that there is no weekend pickup or delivery for One-Day or Two-Day Shipping. Also, when you select One-Day or Two-Day Shipping, we may use air or ground shipping as necessary to get your items to you within the promised time frame.

Special Considerations
Backordered items will be shipped separately when available, at no extra cost, via UPS or USPS Priority Mail.
Custom-crafted items will be shipped via the US Postal Service, regardless of whichever shipping method is selected for the balance of the order.
Large items will be shipped via an appropriate freight service, depending on size and weight. Additional charges may be necessary for special crating, etc.
Shipping cost is based on the total weight of the items you order, or may be
based on order total or other for certain vendors. All shipping costs are displayed in the shopping cart.
Delivery cost is based on the shipping weight of the items you order. The charges
are for each "ship-to" address. "Value of Order" includes the total price of the items, taxes and duty where
applicable, plus any service charges, such as monogramming or gift boxing.
Duties and Taxes
All predictable duties and taxes, as applicable to the destination country, will be included in the quoted shipping charges.
Any additional charges which may arise will be billed to the customer by the carrier's representatives in the receiving country.
Reclaiming duty and taxes on returned items
You should contact the designated carrier's import representatives in your country in order to
submit a claim for refund of duty and taxes. TJ West will refund the purchase price directly to you.
Which items are subject to duty?
TJ West items that are manufactured in the US
or Canada are not assessed duty. Items that are imported or
made in any other country will be assessed duty based on the
country of origin. To determine whether duty will be assessed,
refer to the item's product description, which will include
origin of manufacture.
